From September 23 to September 25, the China Gallnut Industry Development Summit Forum and the 2023 National Innovation Alliance Annual Meeting of the Gallnut Industry, with the theme of "Developing the Gallnut Industry to Assist Rural Revitalization," were held in Wufeng. The summit forum brought together over 200 representatives, guests, experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs from the traditional Chinese medicine industry.

The activities are colorful and full of goods. On September 23rd, a seminar on popular science and research on Chinese gallnut, a forum for Chinese gallnut entrepreneurs, and a representative conference of the National Innovation Alliance for Chinese gallnut industry were held. At the Science Popularization and Research Conference, more than 20 representatives from more than 10 units, including the Plateau Forestry Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Forestry, Wufeng Chicheng Biological Company, and Wufeng Rural Farming and Learning University, conducted in-depth discussions on the research and popularization of Chinese gallnuts. They believed that as a traditional forest specialty product mainly produced in China, Chinese gallnuts have strong scientific characteristics, long utilization history, wide distribution, and strong popularization, and are ideal materials for conducting science popularization and research. The conference also conducted in-depth discussions on the progress of Chinese gallnut science popularization and research, as well as the next focus of work.

At the Entrepreneur Forum, entrepreneurs in the gallnut industry engaged in lively discussions and exchanges on the current status and future development prospects of the industry. Mao Yefu, General Manager of Wufeng Chicheng Biotechnology Co., Ltd., said that the forum has built a good platform for enterprises to provide suggestions and suggestions for the high-quality development of the gallnut industry through communication.

At the Alliance Council, the Chairman, Researcher Chen Jingyuan, delivered a speech. Deputy Researcher Cha Yuping, Secretary General of the Alliance, gave a work report on behalf of the first council, summarizing the achievements in collaborative innovation, industry promotion, exchange and cooperation, social services, and publicity from 2019 to 2023, and put forward suggestions for the future development direction of the gallnut industry. The representative conference of the alliance also elected the second council, advisory committee, and expert committee.

At the meeting, 9 industry academia research units were added as members of the alliance, including Central China Normal University, Three Gorges University, Yunnan Forestry Vocational and Technical College, Shennongjia Forestry Research Institute, Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture Forestry Research Institute, Huaqiao University Advanced Carbon Conversion Technology Research Institute, Hubei Natural Gallnut Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Wufeng Zhafangwan Planting Professional Cooperative, and Wufeng Tang Dynasty Fengbo Gallnut Planting Professional Cooperative. Finally, the new Chairman of the Council, Researcher Shi Yuhu, gave a concluding speech.
